    Wow... this workout is intense (the squats mainly).

    Working sets:

    Squat
    270 x 5 x 5

    Bench Press
    225 x 5 x 5

    Deadlift
    315 x 1 x 5

    Dips
    (BW + 60) x 3 x 3

    Pull-ups
    (BW + 45) x 3 x 3

    No additional core work. Took me about 65 minutes (after warm-up), but I felt like I definitely will be using longer rests as the weeks go by (and as 5 lbs are added to the 5x5 each ...

  3. My record of Texas Method gains

    I'm starting the Texas Method today... I figured if I joined a forum I could get some constructive criticism from more experienced heavy lifters, as well as keep track of my gains somewhere other than an excel spreadsheet. I have been doing Dos Remedios's "Men's Health Power Training" for the past 2 years (with a 6 month break at the beginning of 2010).     March will be a hell of a month: there will be Arnold Classic Pro Strongman 2011, Arnold Classic, Australian Grand Prix and so on. And yet, there is another important competition in Europe. Though, it’s a powerlifting competition this time: the Danube Cup 2011 at powerlifting, organized by EPF and IPF.
